Tomorrowland Thailand vs Tomorrowland Belgium

Same brand, very different trip. Here's how the new Asian edition compares with the original in Boom on cost, visa, camping and flight time, and which one fits your group.

The short answer

Pick Thailand if you want Tomorrowland without the paperwork and the long-haul flight. It's visa-free for Indians, about 4 hours from Delhi or Mumbai, and it's this December. Pick Belgium if you want the original: two weekends in Boom, camping in DreamVille and the festival's full history. That means a Schengen visa, a 9–10 hour flight at best, and waiting until July 2027.

The Thailand edition is clearly not a side show. More than 150,000 tickets were sold, and standard tickets and official hotel packages are sold out.

Visa: Thailand is one form, Belgium is a process

Thailand: since 15 September 2026, Indians get visa-free entry for up to 30 days, with no fee. The only step is the free TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card), which you fill in online within 72 hours before you land. Details are in our Thailand visa guide.

Belgium: you need a Schengen short-stay visa, applied for in person at a VFS centre. The fee is €90 (about ₹9,900) plus the VFS service charge, and you'll need flight and hotel bookings, bank statements and travel insurance with at least €30,000 of medical cover. July is a busy month at Schengen centres, so book the appointment 2–3 months before you fly. If the visa is refused, the fee isn't refunded. Our Schengen visa guide covers the documents and timeline.

What it costs from India

Thailand

  • Return flights to Bangkok: roughly ₹25,000–60,000
  • Visa: free (TDAC is free too)
  • Party Passport package with 3-day pass, 4 nights' hotel and Trip Leader: from ₹1,40,000

All-in: roughly ₹1.65–2 lakh on our entry package, before taxes and spending money.

Belgium

  • Return flights to Brussels in July: roughly ₹60,000–1,00,000
  • Schengen visa plus VFS charge: around ₹12,000–13,000
  • 3-day pass: about ₹36,000–44,000
  • DreamVille camping: from about ₹10,000–11,000 more

All-in: roughly ₹1.2–1.7 lakh if you camp and organise it all yourself, more with a hotel. Before spending money.

Honest take: on paper, a self-planned Belgium trip with camping can come in close to or under a Thailand package. But the Thailand package includes a hotel, a Trip Leader and, on Silver and above, all transfers. Belgium needs you to win the ticket sale, get the visa, and pay euro prices for food and drinks once you're there.

Estimates, not a quote. Flight ranges are typical fares and move with demand. Our package prices are from the Tomorrowland Thailand page on 19 October 2026.

Camping vs hotels

DreamVille is a big part of the Belgium experience. It's a campsite next to the festival that opens the day before each weekend, with options from basic tents up to pre-built premium camping. You walk to the stages, and the campsite has its own parties.

Thailand has no DreamVille. Everyone stays in hotels in Pattaya, Chonburi or Rayong and takes a shuttle to Wisdom Valley. For a group from India that's mostly a plus: a proper bed, air conditioning and a pool in December heat, and Pattaya nightlife after the festival closes.

The verdict

Pick Thailand if…

  • You want to go this year, not wait until July 2027.
  • You don't want a Schengen visa application hanging over the trip.
  • You'd rather fly 4 hours than 10+.
  • Hotels and a pool beat a tent.
  • You missed the official tickets and want a package with the pass included.

Pick Belgium if…

  • You want the original festival in Boom, where it all started.
  • Camping in DreamVille is part of the dream.
  • You already have a Schengen visa, or you're fine applying for one.
  • You want to add a Europe trip around the festival.

FAQ

Is Tomorrowland Thailand the same as Tomorrowland Belgium?

Same brand, same production team and the same kind of stage design and lineup, but a different trip. Tomorrowland Thailand is the first Asian edition, running for one weekend (11–13 December 2026) at Wisdom Valley near Pattaya, with hotel stays and shuttles and no DreamVille camping. Tomorrowland Belgium is the original, held over two weekends every July in Boom, near Antwerp, with the DreamVille campsite next to the festival.

Which is cheaper from India, Tomorrowland Thailand or Belgium?

Thailand, mainly because of flights and the visa. The 3-day passes cost about the same (12,500 THB vs €327–400, roughly ₹36,000–44,000). But return flights to Bangkok are usually ₹25,000–60,000, against roughly ₹60,000–1,00,000 to Brussels in July, and Thailand has no visa fee while a Schengen visa costs around ₹12,000–13,000 with the service charge. Hotels in Pattaya also cost less than in Antwerp or Brussels in festival season.

Do Indians need a visa for Tomorrowland Thailand?

No. Since 15 September 2026, Indian passport holders can enter Thailand visa-free for up to 30 days. You must fill in the free TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) online within 72 hours before you land, and your passport should be valid for at least six months.

Do Indians need a visa for Tomorrowland Belgium?

Yes, a Schengen short-stay visa, applied for through VFS Global. The visa fee is €90 for adults, plus the VFS service charge. July is a busy month at Schengen visa centres, so book your appointment 2–3 months before you fly and keep your festival ticket, flights and accommodation bookings ready for the application.

Is there camping at Tomorrowland Thailand?

No. The Thailand edition doesn't have DreamVille. Everyone stays in hotels in Pattaya, Chonburi or Rayong, with shuttles to the festival. If camping in DreamVille is the experience you want, that's only in Belgium.

Can I still get Tomorrowland Thailand tickets?

Standard festival tickets and the official hotel packages were reported sold out in October 2026. Party Passport's group packages include a 3-day festival pass, and some tiers still have seats. Check the Tomorrowland Thailand page for which ones are open.

When do Tomorrowland Belgium 2027 tickets go on sale?

Tomorrowland hasn't announced 2027 dates or sale dates yet. For 2026, you had to pre-register before the presale in January, and tickets were tied to the buyer's name. Expect a similar pattern, and watch tomorrowland.com from late 2026.

Tomorrowland, this December

Official tickets are sold out, but our group packages include the 3-day festival pass. Packages start at ₹1,40,000, with ₹50,000 to reserve and the balance due by 31 October.
