The short answer
An 11-night, 12-day group trip to Europe over Christmas and New Year costs roughly ₹2.75 lakh to ₹3.5 lakh per person from India, once you add up the land package, taxes, flights, the Schengen visa, insurance and the meals and nights out the package doesn't cover.
The biggest single line is the land package (₹1,30,000 if you book by 22 November 2026), followed by flights (roughly ₹80,000–₹1,20,000 for an open-jaw ticket into Amsterdam and out of Budapest). Everything else together comes to about ₹65,000–₹1,00,000.
The figures below are for Party Passport's Central Europe Christmas and New Year trip: Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague and Budapest, from 22 December 2026 to 2 January 2027. Prices were checked in October 2026.

₹4,000 – ₹8,000Metro and tram tickets on free days, a Europe eSIM, and toilets, lockers and tips.
Total
≈ ₹2,76,100 – ₹3,48,100The low end assumes well-timed flights and a moderate daily spend. The high end assumes late flight booking and plenty of nights out. Shopping and optional extras aren't included, and ₹2,600 of the total is TCS you can claim back.
What the package price covers
This is why the package is the biggest line, and why the daily spend on top stays manageable for four of Europe's priciest weeks. The land package includes:
- 11 nights in centrally located hotels across Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague and Budapest
- Transfers from Amsterdam to Berlin, Berlin to Prague and Prague to Budapest
- A Christmas canal cruise through the Amsterdam Light Festival, with unlimited wine and beer
- Heineken Experience entry with complimentary drinks, and a Zaanse Schans windmills trip
- An East Side Gallery tour and a 24-hour Big Bus hop-on hop-off pass in Berlin
- A pre-New Year pub crawl and two hours of unlimited drinks at an open bar in Prague
- Prague Castle and Old Town walking tours, a thermal bath visit and New Year's Eve ruin-bar hopping in Budapest
- 11 breakfasts, a final dinner with the crew, and a dedicated Trip Leader
Not included: international flights, visa charges, meals and activities not listed above, and 5% GST and 2% TCS.
Flights: the line you can control most
You arrive in Amsterdam on Day 1 and leave from Budapest on Day 12. Those are different cities, so search for a multi-city (open-jaw) ticket rather than a return.
- Into Amsterdam: Air India flies non-stop from Delhi. One-way economy fares for early December were showing from about ₹42,000 in October 2026, and the days just before Christmas cost more.
- Out of Budapest: there's no non-stop flight to India, so you'll connect through a Gulf or European hub. Budget roughly the same as the outbound leg.
- When to book: now. December flight bookings from India are up 20–25% on last year, and seats over Christmas week sell out first. Hold off on paying in full until your visa appointment is booked, or pick a fare with a free change.
The Schengen visa: cheap, but not quick
At about ₹11,500–12,500 all-in, the visa is one of the smaller lines. The embassy fee is €90 for every Schengen country, so where you apply doesn't change the price. The VFS service charge is added on top, and nothing is refunded if the visa is refused.
The real cost of the visa is time. December and January are peak season at VFS centres, and appointments for France can fill 6–8 weeks out. For a 22 December departure, book your appointment as soon as possible. Our Schengen visa guide for Christmas 2026 has the full timeline and document checklist.
Daily spends and optional extras
Food
Breakfast is covered every day. For lunch and dinner, budget about €25–40 a day (₹2,750–4,400). Amsterdam and Berlin are at the top of that range; Prague and Budapest are closer to the bottom.
Christmas markets
A mulled wine is about €4–6 in Berlin, 100 koruna (~₹450) in Prague and 1,500–1,900 forint (~₹450–550) in Budapest. ₹2,000–3,000 covers a market evening. See our Christmas markets guide.
New Year's Eve
Ruin-bar hopping in Budapest with the Trip Leader is included. Last season, Budapest's bigger club parties ran from about €26–49 if you want to carry on. See our New Year's Eve comparison.
Sparty (optional)
Budapest's thermal-bath party on 30 December started from about €105 (~₹11,500) last season, paid directly. It isn't in the totals above, so add it if it's on your list.
Package prices are from Party Passport's published tiers. Flight fares, the VFS service charge and daily spends were checked in October 2026 at roughly ₹110 to the euro, ₹4.5 to the Czech koruna and ₹0.29 to the Hungarian forint, and will move. Christmas market and party prices are last season's.
FAQ
How much does a 12-day Europe trip cost from India over Christmas?
For an 11-night, 12-day group trip through Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague and Budapest from 22 December 2026 to 2 January 2027, budget roughly ₹2.75 lakh to ₹3.5 lakh per person all-in. That covers the land package with GST and TCS, flights, the Schengen visa, insurance, and the meals, drinks and local transport the package doesn't cover. Shopping and optional extras like Budapest's Sparty are on top.
What does Party Passport's Central Europe Christmas and New Year package cost?
The land package is ₹1,30,000 per person if you book by 22 November 2026, plus 5% GST and 2% TCS. The earlier tiers (₹1,25,000 until 22 September and ₹1,27,500 until 22 October) have closed.
Are flights included in the Europe Christmas trip price?
No. International flights aren't included. You arrive in Amsterdam on 22 December and leave from Budapest on 2 January, so book an open-jaw (multi-city) ticket rather than a return. That's usually cheaper than two separate one-ways, and it saves you a trip back to Amsterdam.
How much are flights from India to Europe for Christmas 2026?
As of October 2026, one-way economy fares from Delhi to Amsterdam were showing from roughly ₹42,000 for early December, and Christmas week costs more. Budapest back to Delhi needs at least one stop, usually through a Gulf hub. Budget ₹80,000–₹1,20,000 for the full open-jaw ticket, and book soon: December outbound bookings from India are up 20–25% on last year.
How much does a Schengen visa cost for Indians?
The embassy fee is €90 for adults (about ₹9,900), and it's the same for every Schengen country. The VFS service charge adds roughly ₹1,850–2,200. Budget about ₹11,500–12,500 in total, before travel insurance. None of it is refunded if the visa is refused.
How much cash should I carry for 12 days in Europe?
For the meals, drinks and local transport the package doesn't cover, ₹45,000–₹75,000 worth (roughly €400–700) is enough for most people. Most places take cards, but carry some euros, Czech koruna and Hungarian forint for small Christmas market stalls and the refundable mug deposit at German markets.
